The aroma of food wafting from the kitchen, citrus, chili, colorful plates, drinks at the bar, and the buzz around one big table. TY SOMARU brought our first collabo session to Studio v Meste—and with it, a healthy dose of Mexico.

Many flavors, many people, one table

From the start, the kitchen was the center of the action. Food was being prepared, served, and tasted, and individual plates gradually filled the table. Bold flavors, chili peppers, limes, fresh ingredients, tapas, and dishes prepared to be shared around the table.

Add to that drinks, music, and details that brought the Mexican atmosphere to life even outside the kitchen.

The food preparation wasn’t hidden away in the back, however. It took place right in the open and became a natural part of the entire pop-up. Guests didn’t just come for a pre-set menu—they were right there as it came together.

Mexican Pop-Up Dinner

A large table, food in the center, drinks, and people gathered around it. No need for a complicated program. Dining together became the second part of the entire concept and demonstrated just how easily the character of a space can change.

Studio According to Its Own Recipe

TY SOMARU came up with its own concept, and Studio adapted to it—from the kitchen to the bar to communal dining. One day, a new product is showcased there; another day, cooking takes place, photos are taken, a pop-up is organized, or a dinner is set for dozens of guests.

This time, Studio took on a Mexican theme.
